New Year

As we move towards the end of 2024 and into 2025, this is always a time of reflection for me. Not only is it the end of a year – just 5 days later, I become another year older.

This year’s holiday season was different. I usually decorate my house, enjoy putting up a tree, shopping, music and activities. This year was very difficult. A lot has happened towards the end of this year that seemed to over shadow the joy I usually feel.

Having said that, I am now looking forward to 2025 and the new beginnings the new year will bring. This year will be an interesting one in the world, but in MY world, I know I can make my dreams come true.

I have changed my work situation and, after some difficult days around that, have found the peace I’ve been looking for. Unfortunately, when things change, there is some loss. I don’t deal well with loss, anymore. However, once that is dealt with, I look forward to what is ahead.

My new beginnings begin with my work situation, my name (I’m finally back to my old name everywhere – what a relief), my home (new pieces of furniture and ridding of old things), and a new sense of life and purpose.

As I move towards another birthday and another year of possibilities, I’m so very hopeful and encouraged. I am so excited to see what this new year will bring. I’ve got so many plans and ideas and I fully intend to fulfill them all, despite what the world brings!

What plans, hopes, and wishes do you have for the new year? Is there anything you want to get rid of or forget about 2024? What excites you about 2025?

We’re in this world together – let’s care about and help each other.
