New beginnings begins with change.
I’ve not been good with change lately – ask my sister. I need to find my roots, where I came from. Home, someplace/somewhere to belong.
Having said that – the announcement of Kamala Harris as president has changed my life. Finally, we will have a woman doing the job. I’m totally speaking as if it has happened. Because I believe it will.
I’ve stepped out of politics since I worked on Diana DeGette’s campaign and was a poll worker whom was trusted with the ballot delivery many years ago.
Now, I’m back in full force. This isn’t just political, it’s my stand on any woman whom has ever felt alienated, diminished, over looked. Other countries have women presidents, why are we so behind?
Game on! Whatever it takes, as Imagine Dragons told us and keeps playing in my head.
I’m physically just tired. I’m tired of having to do this life alone. Of working every waking hour. Of constantly fighting. I’m tired. However, I’ll do this! We have work to do. And we will and will win. There is nothing more important now.
Thank you, President Biden. For working to bring us back from the chaos we lived through. And for realizing when it was time to step away. I’m sure that was hard. You have opened the door to woman power. I’ll do my best to make that happen. Your life of service is admirable. Thank you.
