Happy 2024!

New beginnings…

New year – how long will it take me to start writing 24 rather than 23 as a date?

New goals/plans – how long will it take to forget everything I plan to do this year?

New outlook??

New beginnings always start with other thing’s endings. A song I heard a very long time ago – my version of it, anyway.

This morning, I started my day looking at my life. I did a wonderful meditation that encouraged me to relax, see what comes and embrace adventure. I generally try to make plans and goals. And, more often than not, don’t achieve them – leaving me feeling like I’m wasting time and can’t accomplish anything.

However, maybe I’m not wasting time but just doing what I’m supposed to be doing here on this Earth. I’d not thought about things like that. Actually, maybe I have but have forgotten. I am accomplishing things – my goodness, I’m about to turn 63 – I must have accomplished some things!

I tend to be very hard on myself when I start something and don’t finish it. When I fail (like marriages and relationships – for another conversation), I need to turn it around as I tried. So, it didn’t work out – it wasn’t supposed to. However, I tried. I fell, got myself up and kept going – even stronger.

May 2024 bring us all peace, love and adventure. Don’t stop trying, don’t stop experiencing, don’t stop living. We are all here for a reason, regardless of whether you know what that is. Keep going – keep yourself open to adventure and experiences – and the possibility of true happiness, whatever that looks like. It doesn’t matter – it’s YOUR life.
